THE ROOMS OF REST – Three Retreats, Three Horizons

Tradition that Welcomes You

Every room tells a different story, while sharing the same philosophy of essential comfort. Solid-wood beds rest on the latest orthopaedic frames — a perfect marriage of tradition and contemporary wellness. The mattresses, designed to grant deep rest after days spent at the sea and on discoveries, are dressed in Italian satin sheets that caress the skin like an evening breeze.

The Suite of the Earth – Ground Floor

The ground-floor room is a tribute to Modica stone, that pale limestone that built the Baroque cities of the Val di Noto. Walls and floors converse in a mineral embrace that keeps the air cool even on the most scorching days. Here the morning tastes of earth: opening the French doors means stepping straight onto the veranda, where the first coffee of the day is already savoured deep within the landscape.

The Suite of the Countryside – First Floor

Up on the first floor, the parquet greets your steps with its natural warmth. This room opens onto a private terrace that frames the Ispica countryside like a living painting. Waking here means witnessing the daily theatre of rural life: farmers heading into the fields at dawn, the changing seasons that turn the landscape from the emerald of the wheat fields to burnished gold. The terrace becomes a personal refuge for hours of contemplation: perfect for an afternoon read in the shade, for morning yoga, or simply for losing yourself in the panorama that embraces olive groves and vineyards all the way to the horizon, where the silhouette of Ispica appears perched on its hill.

The Suite of the Sea – First Floor

The third room, also with a parquet floor, offers the emotion of the sea on the horizon. From its windows, the gaze flies free across the countryside to that blue line where sky meets Mediterranean. This is the room where the awakening is announced by the dawn light: when the sun rises from the sea, the bedroom fills with a golden glow that turns every object into a luminous sculpture.

The Sky Terrace – The Fourth Dimension

But it is by climbing higher, up to the rooftop terrace, that the villa reveals its most precious secret. Here visual boundaries no longer exist: the gaze embraces the whole world. To the east, the sea, with its endless shades from turquoise to cobalt blue. To the south, the coast unfolding all the way to Portopalo, the southernmost edge of Europe. To the west, the Iblei Mountains rising against the sky, silent guardians of millennia of history. To the north, on clear days, Etna smoking on the horizon like an ancestral presence.

The terrace, furnished with monastic essentiality — a few stone seats, cushions inviting to meditation, a telescope for starlit nights — becomes the place of the soul. At dawn, when the world is still asleep, climbing up here means watching the birth of the day from a front-row seat. At sunset, it is the privileged stage for the daily spectacle of the sun diving into the sea. At night, far from light pollution, the Milky Way unfolds in all its ancient splendour.

Every room, every terrace, every corner of these rooms of rest has been designed not to impress but to welcome, not to astonish but to make you feel at home. Because the true luxury of this villa is sleeping cradled by the silence of the countryside, waking with natural light that filters in gently, falling asleep counting stars from a terrace that seems to touch the sky.
